Taylor Satellite and Space Program

When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?

Psalm 8:3-4

Though Taylor University is a small school, we have made big efforts to apply our skills in the world—and with our Satellite Program, even outside of the world! Our undergraduate students have opportunities to do meaningful, graduate-level work on satellites while studying on campus.

  • 9 satellites designed, 5 launched into space
  • Our first satellite dates back to 2001
  • More than 100 students from different fields of study involved
  • We've worked with various satellite designs, all of them pushing the boundaries of what can be done in orbit
  • Our projects are student-led, with faculty primarily giving advice and connecting students to key individuals and organizations in the field

And with our next launch projected for December, 2021, you could get involved now!

Want In?

With students from all backgrounds contributing to our satellite builds, you could be part of the next Taylor team to send your work into space! Check out our ABET-accredited Engineering and Computer Engineering majors or contact us for more info on how to get involved.
