Bio

I’ve been working as the Program Assistant for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department since fall 2011. For nine years I was the only sister of three older brothers, so I know how to handle anything these guys can throw at me. Prior to working for the CSE department, I worked on the first floor of Nussbaum Science Center as the Program Assistant for the School of Natural & Applied Sciences. Taylor is like family to me—I can’t imagine working anywhere else. I love interacting with the students and making the CSE department feel like a welcoming place.

I’m blessed to have five children—Brad, Myles, Arielle, Dylan, and Nick—and to be married to my wonderful husband, Mike. Outside of work, I read a lot, especially anything by Francine Rivers. I also love to fish, even though that’s not a typical girl thing. Thankfully it’s OK to not be a typical girl in the CSE department! I’ve gone to Belize twice for missions trips, in ’05 and ’10. The first trip made me a pro at laying ceramic tile and the second trip God showed his mercy by keeping us safe as we flew through Hurricane Andrew. In the Kentucky part of the Appalachian Mountains, we built a wheelchair ramp for a recent amputee who just so happened to once live in the neighborhood I grew up in, in Cincinnati.
